The sailing route and sights

It's not just about the food or the sailing trip – it's about the unique overall experience that we at Sagafjord can offer our guests.

Along the sailing route, we pass by several sights hidden around Roskilde Fjord. During lunch, as we sail by, you can hear Stig Rossen over the speaker, talking a bit about the places. You can enjoy the view at your table during the meal, or up on our deck, with the wind in your hair and a direct view of the Fjord.

Lunch sailing

The lunch cruise runs on Friday and Saturday and lasts about 2 hours. The route starts in Roskilde harbor and sails past the Kingdom of Elleore and down around Ringøen in Kattinge, before sailing back towards the harbor.

During the boat trip, you can hear more about the surrounding attractions, which Stig Rossen has described so well.

Evening sailing

The evening cruise sails on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and lasts about 3 hours. The route starts in Roskilde harbor and sails past the Kingdom of Elleore, the village of Gershøj, Selsø Castle, and down around Ringøen in Kattinge.

In Roskilde, there are several major attractions. At the harbor, you’ll find the Viking Ship Museum, while Roskilde Cathedral is located in the city center. Besides the bigger attractions, there are plenty of lesser-known but significant spots along Roskilde Fjord. On our sailing route, you’ll get the chance to get up close and hear about these places along the way over the loudspeaker.
