Sagafjord now offers modern smørrebrød for lunch. Inspiration comes from our sister restaurant Café Fjordliv at Roskilde Harbour, from Danish classic cuisine and from the season’s delicious ingredients.

The important thing for us at Sagafjord restaurant is the choice of ingredients, which as always reflects the Danish season, ecology and what the skilled Danish farmers have in the fields right now.

LUNCH

Lunch DKK 375,-.

The butler's selected smørrebrød
There are three pieces per guest, plus plunger coffee and sweets

The portion sizes are adapted to normal hunger.

  • SEASONAL HERRING OF THE SEASON

    Marinated herring, with pickles and garnishes varying according to the season

  • SAGAFJORD'S SIGNATURE SALMON

    Organic cold-smoked salmon, horseradish cream, horseradish snow, pickled glass cabbage and watercress

  • FJORD LIFE'S FAMOUS FISH

    Breaded light fish with grilled lemon mayonnaise, sea-cooked shrimps, salsify and salads

  • THE GREAT DANE

    Danish potatoes with lovage cream, bacon crunch, onions, herbs and seaweed dust - can be made vegetarian/vegan

  • FRENCH SENSATIONS

    Pigeon pâté with mushrooms, raw pickled beetroot, beetroot chips, large capers and red amaranth - can be made vegetarian/vegan

  • THE HEAD WAITER'S CHICKENS

    Chicken salad with bacon, radishes, radish sprouts, parsley and parsley dust

  • FRENCH SENSATIONS

    Pigeon pâté with mushrooms, raw pickled beetroot, beetroot chips, large capers and red amaranth - can be made vegetarian/vegan

  • THE CAPTAIN'S FAVORITE

    Roast beef with green horseradish remoulade, crispy parsnip and cress
